Report: 3 Alabama Players To Miss Orange Bowl For Rules Violations

Cox/Getty Images)Alabama will reportedly be without three players from its roster, including one starter, for the Orange Bowl due to team rules violations, according to Yahoo’s Pete Thamel.Per Thamel, starting offensive lineman Deonte Brown and two other unnamed teammates will not travel to Florida with the team. The other two players are not believed to be starters.A redshirt sophomore, Brown has played in 12 games this season for the Crimson Tide, making five starts. One of those players is star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.Clemson is facing Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl, with the winner moving on to play either Alabama or Oklahoma for the national championship.Alabama and Oklahoma will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday from the Orange Bowl.last_img
