Given theimmediacy of the project, Recoter calls for the support of the local governmentunits (LGUs) particularly the Provincial and City/Municipal Agriculture Officeson the information drive and in facilitating the input delivery anddistribution to recipients. Three subprojectswill be implemented in the region that will benefit around 210,000 local ricefarmers. These are the following: A total of240,000 bags of inorganic fertilizer will also be partnered with these hybridseeds A total of359,756 bags of inorganic fertilizers will be distributed to RCEF beneficiariesto complement the distribution of inbred seeds covering the PhilRice targeted179,878 hectares of rice areas in Western Visayas. * Expanded HybridRice Production in Suitable Areas The NationalIrrigation Administration 6, as a partner agency of DA in the implementation ofRRP, has committed to providing logistic support in the hauling of rice seedsand fertilizer from drop-off points to various municipalities and assured theLGUs of the early provision of irrigation waters for this main rice season.
